Let’s cut straight to the chase: you can get this special €9 ticket from any ticket machine in Berlin. That means you can pick it up at BER Airport or the main train station, Hauptbahnhof, if that’s how you’re arriving in the city.

The €9 ticket is available for June, July and August 2022.
Where can I use it?
You can use the €9 ticket for all public transport in Berlin. That means the S-Bahn, U-Bahn, tram, bus and the Regional train. You can use the S-Bahn and the Regional train to get out of the city and visit Potsdam or even the concentration camp memorial site, Sachsenhausen.
More than that though, you can use the €9 ticket all over Germany! S-Bahn in Munich? Yep. The boat in Hamburg? Sure!
You cannot use the €9 to travel on Germany’s high-speed Intercity trains (aka IC and ICE trains).

Just how good of a deal is this?
A 24-hour ticket for central Berlin - not even the one that gets you to or from the airport - costs €8.80. For €0.20 more you can have transport for your whole stay in Berlin this Summer.
