THE WALL – Life Along the Death Strip

Experience everyday life in the shadow of the Berlin Wall in a unique panoramic artwork by artist Yadegar Asisi at Checkpoint Charlie.
In a specially constructed circular building in Berlin-Mitte, located close to the former death strip and border crossing, the monumental 900-square-metre panorama depicts daily life in the West Berlin district of Kreuzberg during the 1980s. From a 4-metre-high visitor platform, you immerse yourself in the floor-to-ceiling panoramic installation – a strikingly realistic illusion of the city.
